About the Artist
Liz Simpson has done drawing and painting throughout her life.
A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, CA,
she has exhibited her artwork in California and the Puget Sound area.
Liz and her family lived in various parts of the US and Europe,
and memories of these experiences are the basis for most of her artwork.
Liz lives in Seattle, and is a member of Artists United, Artist Trust,
the Northwest Collage Society, and Burien Arts.
"Art has been a part of my life since childhood, and I have always felt close to nature,
collecting flowers, driftwood, and rocks, and being fascinated by geology.
I am most influenced by ancient art, romantic landscape, and modern abstract painting.
Currently I work in watercolor, collage, and acrylic, and sometimes use all three together!”
